Under Italian law, before the rules of the European Union took effect, only items of 18k gold (or higher percentage) could be called "Jewelry". Although the new European regulations now allow gold of an inferior quality to be called "Jewelry," we handle only the highest quality 18k gold pieces, created by artisans who will not lower their standards, no matter what the new laws permit.
